Windjana Gorge, part of the Napier Range in the Kimberley region of Western Australia is an impressive area, with steep walls up to 100 metres high. The image was taken towards the end of the dry season when the Lennard River was just a few large pools.
While taking this photo, three crocodiles were watching me from the water only a metre behind. Fortunately freshwater crocs are not as dangerous as the big salties. Incidentally the bush flies here were nearly as big as birds.
