Richmond Bridge traverses the Coal River and is the oldest sandstone arch bridge in Australia. It was built by convicts in 1823 and heritage listed in 2005.
Supposedly the bridge is haunted by several ghosts.
The quaint village of Richmond is home to a number of galleries and is about 25 kilometres north of Hobart.
