One of the Devil's Marbles balances aloofly atop its granite and sandstone base. The local aboriginal people (Kaytetye) believe that the marbles (karlu karlu), which are up to 4 metres high are the eggs of the Rainbow Serpent. The Devils Marbles are located about 390 kilometres north of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. |
