Devil's Marble
One of the massive granite boulders that are scattered across the Devils Marble Conservation Park approximately 105 kilometres south of Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory.
The impressive and imposing boulder is framed by a Ghost gum gripping on to the rocky surrounds.
The local Aboriginal people (kartetye) believe that the gigantic boulders are the fossilised eggs of the Rainbow Serpent. The Aboriginal term for the Devil's marbles is Karlukarlu
